Calibrate review

Calibrate combines clinical access, coaching and insurance navigation with a three-month minimum membership commitment.

The program fee buys structure, not the medication.

Calibrate makes the initial financial commitment explicit: $199 monthly installments total $597 over the required first three months. The fee covers a structured program, not medication or laboratory charges. Its fit depends on whether you value the coaching and administrative support enough to accept that commitment, not on treating an advertised copay as a guaranteed total.

A practical fit

You want structured video coaching and coverage-navigation support and can evaluate a minimum program commitment.

A reason to pause

You want medication included in the membership or a month-to-month trial with no remaining obligation.

What Calibrate costs

The pricing page lists $199 per month with a three-month commitment. It describes clinical access, one-to-one video coaching, a curriculum, tracking tools and insurance navigation; medication and laboratory work are excluded. Ask the insurer and pharmacy about your actual prescription cost, including any deductible. A service’s typical copay claim cannot establish your benefit. Compare the first three months as a complete obligation, then request the later renewal and cancellation terms. Monthly collection is not permission to leave the initial commitment after one payment.

What changes the decision

The potential strength is a defined program with coaching rather than only prescription access. The tradeoff is paying for that structure even if your coverage decision or personal engagement differs from what you expected. Ask how the program supports you while medication access is unresolved and what happens if the intended route is unavailable.

The cancellation exceptions are specific

The FAQ allows a cancellation and full refund request within 72 hours of purchase, and says the commitment is waived if the applicant is clinically ineligible. Otherwise the initial program is generally nonrefundable. After the commitment, it describes monthly cancellation with seven calendar days’ notice before billing. Record these dates separately; the initial reconsideration window and later renewal cutoff are not the same rule.

The results promise is not a full-cost guarantee

The published promise describes a possible refund of 50% of membership fees after 12 consecutive months without at least 10% weight loss, subject to eligibility and participation conditions. Medication, labs, discounts and third-party charges are excluded. It also has restrictions involving prior prescription weight-loss medication. Read the actual criteria before assuming a promotional guarantee applies to your history.

Coaching should fit your schedule

The program describes one-to-one video coaching and a curriculum covering behavior and daily routines. Ask how appointments are scheduled, what happens when you miss one and whether the format suits the support you want. A structured program can be valuable for someone who uses it, but an included service has little practical value if its scheduling or approach does not fit.

Coverage work has a separate outcome

Insurance navigation can help organize a request, but it does not change the benefit contract. Ask what records are needed, who follows up and what options are discussed after denial. The coverage-support shortlist helps compare services, while the evidence guide separates program claims from drug-trial findings.

Compare structure against flexibility

The Noom Med review examines another combined digital and clinical program, while QuickMD offers a consultation-only contrast. Use the quote tool with membership, visits, labs and medication kept separate. Calibrate’s relevant question is whether the full program meets your needs at a clear total, not whether a membership installment looks smaller than a medication bundle.

What is my complete three-month cost, what happens if medication is not covered, and which guarantee conditions would actually apply to me?

This review separates the service from the prescribed product. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not interchangeable with approved products. A clinician determines suitability. Confirm availability in your state.
