Our take
Ro is worth exploring when the work around a prescription matters as much as the prescription itself. Its separate care fee needs to earn its place in your budget.
Follow the full cost
The official offer checked October 13, 2026 lists a $39 introductory care charge, then $149 monthly for care membership, with medication additional. Its $74 monthly equivalent requires annual prepayment. The introductory charge and annual equivalent do not describe the ordinary monthly renewal. Ask for the pharmacy price after your actual insurance decision, then add the care charge.
The tradeoff to understand
Insurance assistance can reduce administrative work. It cannot promise that your insurer will cover your medicine.
The question we would ask
Who follows up on a denied prior authorization, and what happens to membership charges while that decision is pending?
Before you enroll
Confirm that Ro can offer the specific care pathway in your state. Request a current written quote that distinguishes the payment due now, the next renewal and any minimum term. A prescription remains subject to a clinician’s assessment.
For any compounded preparation, ask the clinician why it is being proposed and which pharmacy dispenses it. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. A familiar ingredient name does not establish equivalence to an approved product.
