Ro vs Mochi Health

Compare a separate care membership with a broader menu of treatment pathways.

Our take

Ro provides a clear published recurring monthly care fee, while Mochi requires careful separation of membership, selected medication and diagnostics. Ro may be useful to investigate for insurance navigation; Mochi may be useful for a discussion across several pathways. Neither service is a universal cost winner.

Ro’s known fee is not a known treatment bill

Ro’s October 13 source check shows a $39 introductory care charge, a $149 monthly renewal and a $74 monthly equivalent with annual prepayment. Medication is excluded. Ask for the pharmacy amount after your actual coverage decision, plus the amount due for care today. Choose the payment term separately from the prescription decision.

Mochi’s breadth requires a more precise quote

Mochi lists approved and compounded products, including more than one route. Its promotional first-month membership language and medication floors do not establish an all-in price. Request the chosen product, membership renewal, required diagnostics and supply period together. An oral compounded preparation is not interchangeable with an approved oral product just because both are taken by mouth.

Ask both services about the work between appointments

If insurance is involved, establish who submits paperwork and who follows a denial or request for more information. If paying cash, ask how refills, clinical questions and changes in the proposed treatment are handled. Our review compares published service information, not tested response times or verified patient outcomes. State access requires direct confirmation.

The deciding factor may be commitment

Ro’s annual equivalent should be weighed against the upfront payment and refund terms, not only its lower advertised monthly number. For Mochi, establish the actual renewal and cancellation timing for your selected arrangement. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. Discuss product suitability with the clinician; use the comparison to understand the financial and service arrangement.
